Some words from the Principal

Mrs Courtney Hoffmann

Dear Karoo PS Community,

🌟 Thank You for a Fantastic Karoo 'Karnival' 🌟

What an incredible day we shared at the Karoo PS 'Karnival' on Friday, 7th November! The weather was kind to us, the music was lively, and the smiles on the faces of our students, families, and staff said it all.  It truly was a day to remember!  Thank you to all the wonderful feedback that has come through regarding the 'Karnival's success.  The acknowledgement of the work that went into making the event possible is appreciated and an important aspect of showing appreciation to others.

The students have exclaimed that the 'Karnival' was the BEST! Many different highlights have been shared at school today, from the exciting rides and games to the delicious food stalls, face painting, raffles, and live entertainment.  The atmosphere was filled with laughter, community spirit, and a strong sense of belonging that makes Karoo Primary School such a special place.

As our school major fundraising event for 2025, it takes months of planning and many hours of work to make an event such as this a reality.  Therefore, I would like to extend my heartfelt thank you to our dedicated KPS 'Karnival Committee - Krista Di Iorio, Sarah Elliot, Amy Wilcock, Alex Di Nardo, Rhi Fogal, Alision Thomason, Elaine Harris, Sarah Dobson, Tiana Dias, Clare McCandlish, Anna Nicolas, Karen Sexton, Sally Goyne, Sue Baxter and Hugh McLoughlin for all the pre-work and organising to make the event such a fantastic day!  Your dedication behind the scenes made the 'Karnival' both enjoyable and successful.

Thank you to our sponsors!  It is the support of our sponsors that ensured that this fundraising event was the success that it has been, as this enabled all our fundraising efforts to go towards our school and our fundraising goals.

To our amazing KPS staff, thank you for your time, support and dedication to make the event such a fantastic day!  Our awesome stalls from games to food were a HUGE hit!  Your hard work, creativity, teamwork and in the moment problem solving truly shone through every aspect of the event!  The energy, enthusiasm, and commitment you displayed were nothing short of inspiring.

A HUGE thank to our school community for supporting our amazing school, to our many volunteers, including parents, carers, and students, who gave their time and energy to make the day such a success. Your help with baking, donations, set up, pack up, running stalls, and cleaning up afterwards was invaluable and appreciated immensely. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without the generosity and teamwork of our community.  You are appreciated so much and thank you for supporting our school and helping to enhance the learning environment for our students.

To Noisecraft, thank you for supporting our students to shine and share their musical talent, as well as a huge congratulations to all who presented and performed on our main entertainment stage!  Thank you to all our community stalls for attending and being part of making the day such an exciting event!

Congratulations to all our 'Karoo's Got Talent' Performers.  The talent that we have at Karoo PS was at a very high standard and it was a sensational effort to all who participated and well done to our final contestants on the 'Karnival' day.

Karoo PS Community

Our wonderful Karoo PS community is growing again! It is with great excitement that I can share that another member of our staff is expecting a new member into their family in February 2026 - Mrs Maddy Diaz.  Mrs Diaz will continue to teach her class for the reminder of 2025 and will return for the beginning of 2025, before commencing maternity leave. We wish you so much joy at such a special time and can't wait to meet your new addition in the new year!

Term 4 Pupil Free Day

Our last Pupil free day for 2025 is to be held on Friday 21st November. As per previous pupil free days, no children are required onsite. OSHC will be running a program for students who are booked in.
