What's happening in Term 3

The Library has been transformed into a treasure trove of stories, adventures, and amazing new books waiting to be discovered.
Last chance tomorrow to find your next great read, for some extra bookish fun and browsing time! Don’t miss out it’s the perfect chance to grab a new adventure, a laugh, or a mystery to take home and enjoy.
If you would like to be a Karoo Library Legend, you are able to donate a book to the school and have your families name placed inside so everyone can see your generous donation.
Every purchase earns Scholastic points for our school, helping us add even more fantastic titles to the library. This year, we’re especially excited to refresh and expand our Non-Fiction section so your support makes a real difference!
You all did an amazing job, reading more than ever! The final total was 11,795 books.
Congratulations to you all and well done.
The top three readers of the school were:

hat an amazing day we had on 31st October when author Adam Wallace visited Karoo! Adam was engaging, hilarious, and full of energy, he had everyone laughing, drawing, and completely captivated from start to finish.

The students especially loved his fantastic live drawings and all the creative tips he shared about writing and illustrating stories. His enthusiasm for books and storytelling was truly infectious! We were also lucky to get a sneak peek at his brand-new book, Hatman and it was an absolute hit! If you’d like to be the first to read it, come down to the library and put your name on the borrowing list.
A big thank you to Adam for inspiring our students to create, laugh, and love reading even more!
As we head towards the end of the school year, it’s time to start thinking about tidying up our library shelves!
Please note:
If you think you might have an overdue or missing book, now is the perfect time to have a look at home, in school bags, or under the bed, they have a sneaky way of hiding!
Every book returned helps us get the library ready for next year and ensures everyone can continue to enjoy our wonderful collection.
Thank you for your help in keeping our library complete and ready for 2026!
