Science Week

What a fantastic Science Week we have had at school! Throughout the week, students have had the opportunity to get involved in a range of fun and hands-on science activities, sparking curiosity, encouraging questions and, of course, creating plenty of excitement!

Students experimented with magic balloons, lemon volcanoes, floating balls and exploding monsters, discovering the science behind each activity along the way. We even finished the week with paper aeroplane making and flying competitions, where students put their creativity and engineering skills to the test to see whose plane could fly the furthest!

It has been wonderful to see so many students getting involved, having fun and exploring the world of science through hands-on experiences. A big thank you to Miss Taylor, Rach, Mrs Hill, Mrs Brennan and Mrs Fleming for the time, creativity and effort they put into preparing these activities for our students.

ICAS

It has been wonderful to see many of our students challenge themselves by taking part in this year’s ICAS competitions.

So far, students have participated in the English, Science, Writing and Spelling Bee competitions, with our Maths competition taking place next week to wrap up the ICAS season.

We are very proud of every student who has had a go, challenged themselves and put forward their best effort. Taking part in these competitions is a fantastic opportunity for students to extend their thinking, test their skills and experience something outside of their usual classroom learning.

Well done to everyone who has participated!
