Catholic Identity
Leader: Katie Rasmussen
Late last month, a fire caused significant damage to the sacristy at St Kilian’s Church in Bendigo.
St Kilian’s holds a special place in the history of our Diocese, and we would like to show our support for our friends in the St Kilian’s community during this difficult time.
Students are invited to wear free dress on Wednesday 2 September and bring along a gold coin donation. All money raised will assist St Kilian’s Church following the fire.
Thank you for helping us show strength and kindliness by caring for another community in need.

"Do to others as you would have them do to you."
Luke 6:31 (NRSV Catholic Edition)
Jesus teaches us to think about how our actions affect others. Before we speak, act or make a decision, we can ask ourselves: "How would I want to be treated?"
This simple teaching can help create a community where everyone feels welcomed, respected and valued.
Reflection Question:
How can I show kindness and respect to someone today?
On Tuesday 1 September, a group of our Grade 6 students will represent St Patrick’s at the Sandhurst celebration to launch the Season of Creation at Huntly Streamside Reserve.
Our Catholic Identity Leaders, along with several other Grade 6 students, will join schools and parishes from across the Diocese for Mass celebrated by Bishop Rene Ramirez, followed by a picnic lunch.
This year’s theme, “Living Water,” invites us to reflect on the importance of water and our shared responsibility to care for God’s creation. We look forward to hearing about the students’ experience when they return.
