Hello Care Pack donation drive

The VET community services class is collecting donations for our Hello Care Packs, which will be distributed to children and young people in foster and residential care.

We are seeking donations of new, unused items such as stationery, books, colouring books, puzzles, fidget toys, soft toys, blankets, reusable drink bottles, socks, beanies, and other comfort items. No food items, please.

Donations can be dropped off at the University Campus school office, 8am to 4pm, between 3rd of August and the 24th of August

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will help brighten a young person's day and remind them that they are supported by their community.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity,

VET Community Services students and staff.

SRC Blue Dress-Up Day for Men's Mental Health

Gallery Image

On Thursday 18 June, the Senior SRC proudly hosted a Blue Dress-Up Day to raise awareness of men's mental health and encourage important conversations within our school community.

Students and staff were invited to wear blue as a visible show of support, helping to highlight the importance of mental wellbeing and reminding everyone that seeking support is a sign of strength.

To thank students for getting involved and supporting the cause, SRC members handed out free icy poles at recess. The event was well received, with many students participating and taking the opportunity to learn more about the importance of looking after their mental health and checking in on those around them.

The SRC would like to thank everyone who participated and helped make the day a success. Together, we can continue to break down stigma, promote positive mental health, and create a supportive school environment for all.

Winter Solstice Celebration Warms the Senior Campus

To celebrate the Winter Solstice, the Senior SRC hosted a special Winter Solstice Celebration, bringing students together to embrace the shortest day of the year and enjoy some winter warmth.

Students and staff were encouraged to wear their favourite pyjamas and cosy clothing, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere across the campus. It was wonderful to see so many students getting involved and showing off their colourful sleepwear while enjoying the sense of community the day provided.

As part of the celebration, the Senior SRC served free soup at lunchtime. It was a huge hit and provided a great opportunity for students to gather, connect, and enjoy time with their peers.

A big thank you to the Senior SRC members who organised the event and to everyone who participated.

We look forward to bringing more opportunities for connection, fun, and school spirit to our campus throughout the year.
