SCIENCE IN KINDER

It’s Science Week and at kinder we love to investigate, explore and experiment.  In Acacia this week, we experimented with chemical reactions, discovering what happens when you mix bicarb soda and vinegar….it fizzes!  We created a tray with lots of little dishes, flower petals, tiny spoons and a mortar and pestle.  In little jars there was bicarb soda and the children could mix ingredients together before using pipettes to drop vinegar into the dishes and watch what happens.  It was perfect potion making!  We love making discoveries about how this work and the relationship between cause and effect.  The best part is we do it all through play.
