Grade 6

On the first day of year 6 we met our new teachers, we learned new games like greedy pig and single out. On Thursday we finally got out new polos and jackets everyone was so exited!! We did some specialists and we got our exciting leadership rolls. Things we are looking to are camp, when we go to camp we are going to use public transportation, sky deck, all you can eat pizza and pasta, science works and sleeping in a hotel on the bottom floor. In the first week of term 2 we are staying at the thousand steps in a class room learning about war. We are going to walk up the thousand steps every day. Getting near the end of the year we will have a very exiting night because we are going to m-sac for night time swimming. Soon we will start practicing production which will be so fun!

Leadership positions A warm Wednesday afternoon, tension rises between waiting students. Friends huddle next to each other, every possible part of their body crossed in hope, wishing for Mr Boyle to please their ears. After the longing suspense wafted away, kids were discussing what their first commands would be…Meanwhile a new idea sprouted, INTER SCHOOL SPORTS CAPTAIN! This new possibility, spreading warm, hopeful grins across year six community!Everyone was just as excited about their badges as they were positions, kids are still waiting, days piling ever so slowly on top of each other, aching days of anticipation…

This is the best two weeks of school ever! We just got some awesome school polos and jackets. We are learning how to be grateful because it is scientifically proven that being grateful will increase your happiness!We read a beautiful book called Fox and did a review on how we think it will end. We had a buddy session which was really nice. We are also going to do a buddy program where we are mini tutors for the preps, we will help them read and count! Everyone is super exited for the year ahead of us! We can’t wait! We are super excited as soon we are all going on camp to the city!
