Our Senior Teams travelled to MSAC to participate in the 2025 Volleyball Victoria: Junior Open, competing against some of the top schools and clubs in Victoria. With high hopes, grit, and determination, Altona College represented our school with pride during this three-day tournament.

The Senior Girls which were comprised of two Year 7s, a Year 8 and a Year 9, two fifths of the team, proved that they could hang with some of the best senior players in Victoria. Although they had high aspirations, they ultimately fell short of medalling, placing 5th; however, they competed hard, fought through adversity and showed true Altona College Spirit. The future looks bright for some of our junior players who stepped up alongside our senior players who showed leadership and high-level tournament experience.

The Senior Boys defeated some of the top volleyball schools/clubs in their pool to earning a Semifinal match against Maribyrnong, and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere was electric, and the boys rose to the occasion, beating Maribyrnong 2 sets to 1 (28-26, 13-25, 25-21), proving that they belonged in the gold medal match. In the finals, they would fall short to The Grange in two close sets, 22–25 and 22–25. Although it was not the result they wanted, they came home with a silver medal.

Thank you to all the staff, parents, family, and friends for your support. 2026 has a lot to live up to with all the successes we have had in 2025, the best volleyball season as a P-12 college.
