P–2 Melbourne Museum Excursion
Our Prep–2 students headed off to the Melbourne Museum as part of their biology learning — and what an incredible day of discovery it was!
Prep Adventures in Bugs Alive!
Prep students explored the Bugs Alive! exhibit, learning about pollinators, predators, and what it’s like to be real-life entomologists. There were plenty of curious questions, fascinated faces, and even a few brave moments meeting some creepy-crawlies.
Grade 1/2 Investigations into Living Things
Our Grade 1/2 students delved into the world of living things, discovering how all living organisms grow, change, and reproduce through life cycles. They identified external features of animals and explored how different creatures are perfectly adapted to their habitats.
It was a fantastic day of hands-on learning, excitement, and wonder. Well done to all our P–2 students for representing our school so beautifully!
Prep Garden Update!
Our Prep students have been busy little gardeners over the past few weeks! They’ve loved getting their hands dirty — pulling out weeds, digging holes for new tomato seedlings, spreading mulch, and carefully watering their plants. They’ve also been curious explorers, investigating the many bugs and insects that call our garden home.
In just three short weeks, our tomato plants have doubled in size and are well on their way to growing beautiful fruit for our 2026 students to enjoy.
We’re so proud of our budding gardeners and the care they’re showing for our school garden!
Year 5 Peer Mediators
This term our Year 5 Peer Mediators hosted a 'Lucky Duck Hunt'
12 lucky ducks were hidden in the yard for students to find at lunch time. Students eagerly searched and were rewarded with a prize if they found a Lucky Duck! Congratulations to our Lucky Duck winners!
Primary Art Showcase
Our Primary students have been hard at work this term, exploring a range of art styles, techniques and creative challenges across the school.
Our Year 1 and 2 students have produced beautiful farm landscape paintings, using colour, texture and perspective to capture the peaceful charm of the countryside. Their artworks show wonderful attention to detail and a growing confidence in their painting skills.
They also designed impressive Steampunk Push and Pull Collages, combining movement, imagination and inventive materials to create eye-catching mechanical-themed artworks. The level of creativity on display has been fantastic.
Meanwhile, our Year 5 and 6 students have been experimenting with mood and atmosphere in their candlelight paintings. By exploring light, shadow and warm tones, they created expressive works that showcase their developing artistic techniques.
Well done to all our young artists for their enthusiasm, skill and creativity!
Somers Camp 2025
10 lucky kids from our grade 5/6 cohort (and one lucky teacher) spent 9 days at Somers Camp, they had an amazing time, built independence and made new friends.
