Congratulations to the combined Berry and Laidlaw team who took out the inaugural Ted Hunter House Football competition yesterday at Melville Oval. It was pleasing to have so many Old Collegians from the Class of 2025 and their parents back to honour Ted in this way, and especially so to have his parents Pete and Bindi in attendance and Ted’s brother Hugh playing for the winning team. My thanks to the Southern Grampians Shire Council for allowing us to use Melville Oval and to all who had a hand in planning this special afternoon. We look forward to honouring Ted in this way each year.

Senior School Mathematics and Science teacher Simon Karanja will finish at the College tomorrow after two terms with us. Mr Karanja has made a quick and significant impact through his genuine connection to students, good humour, and fantastic electric blue suit. We wish Simon every success at his next school and as he makes the transition to life in Bendigo. 

Finally, I hope all College families enjoy a restful holiday break over the next two weeks. Year 12 students are at the College for their compulsory exam and revision week during the second week of the break, and I wish them well in their exam preparations. Classes commence for Term Four on Monday 5 October.
