On Wednesday 9 September BSC held the annual Spring Celebration afternoon to - acknowledge another term of effort and achievement! Students enjoyed the fun, music and free activities, and our staff enjoyed the opportunity to connect with students outside of the classroom.

As always, thank you to our student community for the enthusiasm and respect they continually show. It is these attitude and actions that help BSC create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where all students and staff can thrive.

The IceScreams  truck was very popular and Mickey was kept very busy all afternoon. IceScreams is a regular at our annual Twilight Market,  and Mickey and Kat again donated a proportion of their takings to the school on Spring Celebration day.

The Tea Room, Soup Club and biscuit decorating activity offered free snacks and drinks, while the Nail Bar, bracelet workshop and henna tattoo activity provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity.

Meanwhile, Mr Stevens-Bullmore , Ms Vukotic and Mr Glennie bravely donned ponchos to become targets for Soak-A-Teacher ... and duly got soaked!  The water was gently warmed.

The Wellbeing Team provided the music and DJing, as well as the giant outdoor games. Our performers sang and danced in karaoke and Just Dance, and the winners from our 3 vs 3 basketball competition were elated - Marlon Karnath, Josh Anthony and Harrison Saffn-Keating,  and Honor Grove, Delilah Tanner and  Eliza Terril (see Mr Pell for your prize!)

Students looking for a quieter spot or an intellectual challenge joined in Chess Club, the Spelling Bee, bingo (complete with the bingo barrel) and the library for indoor games.

We are looking forward to a rejuvenating holiday break and a strong finish to the school year next term. At the end of Term 4, our end-of-year celebrations include an excursion to Funfields for Year 7 and 8, and excursion to Geelong Adventure Park for Year 9, a Luna Park excursion for Year 10, an evening boat cruise for Year 11.  For Year 12 students, the 2026 Graduation event  at Fior will be a highlight of their final week of festivities.
