We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Year 7 student, Spencer Hutchinson. Spencer represented our school at the Victorian Year 7 Chinese Reading Awards on Monday, 10 August at the University of Melbourne.

Run by the Chinese Language Teachers' Association, the competition is open to Year 7 students from secondary schools across Victoria who study Chinese as a second language.

Spencer enthusiastically volunteered to participate and put in a great deal of effort preparing and practising in the lead-up to the competition. His hard work and dedication paid off, and he performed exceptionally well on the day. 

With more than 80 students participating, 

Spencer earned one of only seven medals awarded in the competition!

We are incredibly proud of Spencer’s achievement and the commitment and enthusiasm he has shown in his Chinese learning. Congratulations, Spencer!
