This year the following students participated in the Big Science Competition: Oscar Dos Santos and Oscar Fischman from Year 7, Lyra Moxham and Max Power from Year 8and Aria Dsouza and Miro Mukai from Year 10.
Participating in the Big Science Competition was a valuable and engaging experience for students. The competition, run by Australian Science Innovations, provides an opportunity to apply scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills to a range of challenging questions and real-world scenarios. It encourages students to think critically, analyse information carefully, and use logical reasoning to develop solutions.
The experience also helped build confidence in approaching unfamiliar problems and strengthened the student’s interest in science. Preparing for and participating in the competition encouraged independent thinking, persistence, and curiosity.
Overall, the Big Science Competition was a rewarding learning experience that allowed the students to extend their scientific understanding beyond the classroom and develop important skills for future learning.
