Principals Message

As we head towards the end of Term 3, I am delighted to share some important updates from Narrandera High School.

First, I am pleased to announce the outcome of the election for our 2027 student leadership team. Following votes from both students and staff, Jessica Wright and Skye Hutchison have been elected as our School Captains. Charlie Brooker and Anthony Sinclair will serve as Vice Captains, while Josef Meier and Ella Richens will take on the roles of Prefects.

Congratulations to these students for their achievement. I would also like to thank all students who nominated for leadership positions. Your interest in contributing to the school community and willingness to step forward demonstrate great commitment. We look forward to working with our new leadership team in Term 4 and throughout 2027 as they begin to take on their responsibilities and continue representing our school.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank the outgoing 2026 leadership team. Captains Hannah Beer and Matari Johnson, Vice Captains Amy Hall and Noah Tait, and Prefects Jye Winnell and RG Mann have set a high standard through their efforts, enthusiasm, and positivity. They have proudly represented Narrandera High School and shown great integrity, teamwork, and commitment in their leadership roles. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the school and your fellow students.

Congratulations also go to our Stage 4 and Stage 5 students who attended the PBL rewards day excursion to Griffith. Their inclusion in this event was based on excellent attendance, applying themselves in class and maintaining a consistently positive attitude towards their learning. Well done to all involved—you are setting a great example for others by demonstrating what can be achieved through commitment and effort.

Last Friday, our school community came together to celebrate Wear It Purple Day, an important event on our school calendar. This day is dedicated to promoting inclusion, acceptance, and support for LGBTQ+ students and staff, ensuring that everyone at Narrandera High School feels safe, welcomed, and valued for who they are. It was wonderful to see so many staff and students participating by wearing purple and engaging in activities that encourage kindness and understanding across our school community.

The strong turnout and enthusiasm demonstrated by both students and staff reflected the positive and inclusive culture we continue to build here at Narrandera High School. Thank you to everyone who contributed—your openness, respect, and support send a powerful message that every member of our school is known and valued. Together, we are creating an environment where diversity is embraced and every individual can feel proud to be themselves.
