It has been an incredibly busy and exciting time for our Year 8 community. We recently bid a fond farewell to Lucy as she commenced her maternity leave, and we wish her and her family all the very best during this special time. Moving forward, we are thrilled to welcome Anthony into the role of Year 8 Leading Teacher.

A clear highlight of Term 2 was our cohort excursion to IceHQ for our community excursion. The students had a fantastic day hitting the ice, showing great resilience and supporting one another throughout the session. It was wonderful to see everyone connecting outside the classroom and building such a positive team spirit. We look forward to carrying this great momentum into an excellent Term 3 ahead.

Year 9 students have enjoyed a busy and successful few months filled with opportunities to learn, connect and represent our school community. A major highlight of Term 2 was the week-long City Experience, during which students travelled into Melbourne and participated in a range of educational and practical activities. They developed their confidence, independence, teamwork and ability to navigate the city safely and responsibly. Students are to be congratulated for their enthusiastic participation and the maturity they demonstrated throughout the week.

Across Terms 2 and 3, many Year 9 students have also proudly represented the school in interschool sport. They displayed excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship while competing against other schools, and we congratulate everyone who participated.

To recognise the cohort’s achievements and finish the term positively, Year 9 students will attend a celebration excursion to SeaLife Aquarium and Melbourne Central in Week 9 of Term 3. This will be a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy an educational experience with their peers and celebrate their efforts throughout the year.

A reminder that Year 9 Camp is also approaching. Families are asked to complete consent and payment as soon as possible. If your child is unable to attend, or your family is experiencing difficulty completing the payment or consent requirements, please contact the school so that we can discuss available support and next steps.
