Growing Our Skills in Auslan

Our Prep students began their learning journey only a short time ago — and we have dived straight into learning! This year, our Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students, along with Miss Hajder, will be learning Auslan within the classroom setting. We will navigate this experience together, with support from an online platform, Auslan Education Services.

In our first lesson this week, we learned how to sign “hello” and “good”. As we build our knowledge, it is important to remember that our voices are off when signing.

Over the course of the term, students will be introduced to the alphabet, colours, numbers, family and farm signs.
