Middle Sub School Leader Rooms 10-18
Dear parents and carers,
It was great to have the opportunity to meet some of you during SSG weeks. If for some reason, you were unable to book a meeting, please contact your class teacher to see if a meeting can be booked, as it is very important to be able to collaborate to support the students.
Over the past few weeks, students have been actively engaged in a variety of hands-on learning experiences across Mathematics and Personal & Social Learning.
In Maths, students explored shapes through sensory and practical activities using concrete materials such as shape blocks, puzzles, playdough and everyday objects. Students enjoyed participating in sorting games, shape hunts, songs and collaborative activities that supported their understanding of size, shape and grouping. It has been wonderful to see students building confidence in recognising shapes within their environment and using mathematical language to describe their thinking.
In Personal & Social Learning, students focused on teamwork and positive interactions through group games and shared activities. Students practised taking turns, following rules, communicating respectfully and developing strategies to manage emotions during competitive situations.
We have been proud to see students supporting one another and developing important social skills in structured and engaging ways.
Thank you to families and carers for your ongoing support throughout the term.
Kind Regards,
Stefania Mantinioti

What a great Term Room 18 has had, the students have been working really hard and learning new skills. One of the highlights has been creating our movie posters. We got to choose a movie and put our photos into them. We have been collecting data and creating our own bar and pictographs and have started learning about persuasive writing.
We look forward to the rest of the term
