Dear Parents and Community Members,

It has been a busy term for the Infrastructure Team, and with only a few weeks remaining before the end of term, we are already looking ahead to the holiday period, when a number of maintenance and improvement projects will continue across the school.

A key focus this term has been ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional and welcoming for all students and staff. The team has continued to monitor and address mushroom growth across the school grounds, particularly following periods of wet weather. We thank staff for their ongoing vigilance in identifying and reporting mushrooms so they can be safely removed as quickly as possible.

Work has also been undertaken to investigate and address drainage concerns in Playground 1, including issues associated with sand movement and water flow following rainfall. We will continue to monitor these areas and implement improvements where required.

Several upgrades and maintenance works have been completed within the Secondary area, including improvements to toilet facilities with a new toilet installed.

In addition, a new Salto fob access lock has been installed to enhance security while maintaining appropriate access arrangements for staff and students.

The team has been able to work with MakeSafe regarding a roof leak identified in the Middle Years area, who have promptly addressed the issue and ensured the issue was resolved appropriately.

Recently, the school received the Rolling Facilities Evaluation (RFE) Condition Assessment Reports. These reports provide a comprehensive assessment of the condition of our buildings and infrastructure and will assist in identifying future maintenance priorities. The committee is currently reviewing these findings with the VSBA and preparing for the next phase of our School Maintenance Plan (SMP), with an upcoming Cycle 2 pre-workshop scheduled. This important process helps guide long-term maintenance planning and future infrastructure improvements across the school.

Unfortunately, it appears that due to Parliamentary sitting commitments, our Playground Opening Ceremony will need to be postponed until early Term 4. We look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with our school community and will share further details once they become available.

In the meantime, we are pleased to share additional before-and-after photographs showcasing the transformation of our playground spaces. These images highlight the significant improvements that have been made to create engaging, inclusive and enjoyable outdoor environments for our students.

Thank you to all staff, families and community members who continue to support the ongoing development and maintenance of our school facilities.
