Laudato si' is a 2015 encyclical (formal letter) written by Pope Francis about caring for the environment and looking after people, especially those affected most by poverty and climate change.
The title comes from a phrase meaning “Praise be to you,” taken from a prayer by Saint Francis of Assisi, who is known for his love of nature and care for the poor.

The Prep Prayer P/J Night was a wonderful success, bringing together children and their parents participating in activities, including making a candle and creating a prayer mat for their prayer space at home. Throughout the evening, everyone joined in singing songs and spending time together. It was lovely to see the children so excited and engaged while enjoying time with their families and friends.

1/2MV were busy preparing for their Class Prayer Service, Exploring God’s Creation.
In class, they learned that God’s creation is all around us and that the Earth is a special gift filled with beauty and wonder. They discovered how they can care for our world and be responsible stewards of creation. They explored examples of God’s creation in nature, reflected on what makes our world unique, and discussed simple ways they can show respect and care for the environment in their daily lives.
They looked forward to sharing their learning and celebrating together during their Prayer Service on Thursday 4th June at 9am.
