Essendon AFLW Visit – Grade 5/6

On Thursday, St Luke’s was fortunate to host four Essendon AFLW players for an engaging visit with our Grade 5 and Grade 6 students.

The session began with a question-and-answer segment, where students asked thoughtful and insightful questions, gaining valuable understanding of what it takes to perform at an elite level. This was followed by a kick-to-kick session, where students had the opportunity to interact with the players, develop their skills, and collect autographs.

We thank the Essendon Football Club and AFL Victoria for providing this wonderful experience for our students.

Sporting Schools Victoria

This term, we were pleased to welcome SportzLab back to St Luke’s to deliver after-school sporting programs, supported through Sporting Schools funding.

Students had the opportunity to participate in a four-week netball clinic and a PE games program. These sessions provided a fun and engaging environment for students to develop skills, build confidence, and connect with their peers.

We are currently awaiting confirmation of funding for Term 3 and hope to continue offering these valuable opportunities to our students. These programs play an important role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and enjoyment of sport.
