Canteen

Price Increase 20.3.26
To maintain the quality of the ingredients we use, we find it necessary to make some modest adjustments to our canteen menu prices, effective Friday 20th March 2026.
As many of you have likely noticed at the grocery store, the cost of food supplies and packaging has risen significantly over the past year. Because we operate on a non-profit basis, these price increases from our suppliers directly impact our ability to keep the canteen running.
A revised menu is available now and prices are also updated on Compass.
Cross Country BBQ
Ordering for the BBQ lunch closes Tuesday 24th March 2.45pm.
Please ensure ALL orders are completed by this cut off date.
Term 2 Roster - WE NEED YOU!
(Or the Canteen might have to close...)
Do you have a spare few hours once a term? Our Canteen is in desperate need of volunteers!
We love serving your children, but we’ve reached a point where we don’t have enough hands to keep the canteen open. If we cannot fill our volunteer roster by 1st April 2026, we will unfortunately have to suspend canteen services until further notice.
How you can help:
- Shifts: 10.00am - 2.00pm
- Frequency: Once a term - Monday or Friday's
- Tasks: Prepping simple snacks and lunches, and serving smiling faces.
Please help us keep the ovens on and the kids fed!
If you can assist, please let Bec Patridge or Kayla Bakewell know ASAP. Alternatively, you can let Sally or Karen know at the front office.
Exciting New Additions to the Canteen Menu!
We are thrilled to announce two delicious new items joining our menu starting Friday 20th March 2026. These have been taste-tested and are ready for your children to enjoy!
What’s New?
- Milo snack pouch $2.50
- Sara Lee choc chip muffin $3.00
How to Order
These items are available for purchase over the counter during Morning Tea or can be pre-ordered via Compass.
Important Note for Compass Users: If you would like your child to receive these items specifically for Morning Tea (rather than Lunch), please follow these steps:
- Add the items to your cart in the Compass Canteen.
- Proceed to the checkout screen.
- In the "Notes" section at the end of your order, please clearly type: "FOR MORNING TEA."
This ensures our canteen team has the order ready at the right time!
Why the Change?
We are constantly looking for ways to provide variety and nutritious options for our students. These new items were selected based on student feedback and are a great way to keep those energy levels up for a day of learning.
Thank you for supporting our school canteen!

Things to keep in mind when working as a volunteer in the canteen
To ensure the canteen remains compliant in food safety, please remember the following:
- Wear gloves when dealing with food - keep changing gloves as required
- Wash hands regularly and use paper towel to dry hands
- When opening goods (eg butter) please clearly write the date that the item was opened in black texta.
- Ensure all benches are wiped down and sanitised before leaving
- Sweep and mop the floor after every shift
Standard 3.2.2 A guideline for school canteens
Please keep your receipts
Please remember to keep receipts for any purchases made for the canteen.
There is a pink box in the canteen for receipts.
Please place receipts from IGA, Foodworks or Cross Bros. Butchery in here please.
Compass Canteen
Families are able to order and pay for their children's lunch orders online through the Compass App.
If you have any trouble using the Canteen feature in Compass please feel free to read the guide below or send Karen an email on krizzi1@arm.catholic.edu.au
A few things to remember:
Cut off time for online ordering is 9:30am on the day of canteen. This allows plenty of time for the administration side of things to be completed before our volunteers arrive.
Ordering online is optional but preferred as it limits cash handling. If you still wish to place an order on a brown paper bag, please try and enclose correct money as change is limited due to majority of students using the online ordering option.
Baskets will be placed outside the canteen for teachers to distribute to the students.
Please be assured that frequent hand washing, wearing of gloves and regular safe food handling practices will be adhered to at all times.
