Life Hacks:

Wake up early.
Waking up early is as close to a life cheat code as you will find. It requires
intense discipline, and it creates evidence of your power and control over your world. That
bleeds into every other area of life. Confidence is built, not born.
Find your "garden".
John D. Rockefeller would take regular breaks from his notoriously demanding schedule
to mill about in his garden—it was his personal escape. Find your "garden" and go there
often. Practice stillness, flex the solitude muscle. Be bored for at least 15 minutes per day.
It’s an unlock for creativity and mindfulness.
Invest in yourself.
Make a rule to never think twice about investing in yourself. Books, quality food,
fitness, and personal development all fit into this bucket. These investments pay
dividends for a long time. Think about material purchases instead—wait 24 hours to
complete an order to see if you still want it.
DIY Wood Filler
To make a versatile wood filler for free, grab a paper plate and combine Elmer’s or any other wood glue with sawdust. Like other wood fillers, you can stain or finish it, but the colour will likely be a bit different from the surrounding wood. But, it’s sandable, paintable and long-lasting.
Quick Cold Drinks
Does wrapping a wet paper towel around a warm canned or bottled beverage and putting it in the freezer cool it faster than if there were no paper towel around it? Some folks theorise that the can is analogous to your body, and the wet paper towel is analogous to sweat. Since it’s well known that evaporation of sweat pulls heat away from your body, causing a cooling effect, the same should happen with a canned beverage in the freezer, right? There are lots of “expert” opinions about this online, supporting both sides of the
argument. Try it out for yourself!
