Year 9 Indonesian students cooked and consumed an Indonesian meal consisting of Nasi Goreng, Mi Goreng and Es Cendol.

Humanities Week Highlights

Last week saw another successful Humanities Week at Southern Christian College. Students were able to participate in a number of events celebrating the humanities.

• Thion (Year7) for his 100 word short story
• Fiona (Year 10) for her artwork based on a book
• Theresa (Year 10) for her delicious cupcakes, themed on a book

The 2024 Secondary Book Week Parade was a success with an impressive number of our secondary students donning book-inspired costumes.

The Day of Notables, where our Year 8 students dressed up as a historical character from the medieval/reformation period and presented a stall about their character’s contribution to history.

Ancient China displays presented by our Year 7 students to exhibit their knowledge of different dynasties from Ancient China.

The 2024 Humanities Quiz allowed teams of mixed year levels to put their knowledge of literature, language skills, history, and geography to the test.
