Keeping Our School Community Safe
The safety of our students, families and staff is always our highest priority. As we continue through the school year, we ask all members of our community to help create a safe environment around our school during drop-off and pick-up times.
We know that parking can be challenging and that no school has a perfect parking situation, particularly during busy periods. We sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding shown by so many families each day. By allowing a little extra time and treating one another with courtesy, we can all contribute to a calmer and safer environment.
We ask all families to:
- Use the supervised school crossing whenever possible.
- Park legally and only in designated parking areas.
- Avoid stopping in no-standing zones, across driveways or double parking.
- Follow all road signs and speed limits around the school.
- Always supervise children in the car park and when crossing roads.
Children learn by watching the adults around them. Every time we use the school crossing, park safely and model patient, respectful driving, we are teaching our children valuable road safety habits that will stay with them for life.
A few extra moments to park safely or walk to the crossing can make all the difference in preventing an accident. Thank you for working with us to ensure every child arrives at and leaves school safely each day.
Prayers for Edgar
We ask for your prayers for Edgar, our Corrigan Road School Crossing Supervisor, as he undergoes chemotherapy in hospital. Edgar has worked to keep our community safe morning and afternoon in all weather for the past 14 years. Edgar will be missed as he undergoes treatment. Please keep him in your prayers at this difficult time.
