Grandparents' Day – A Special Celebration

Next week, we look forward to welcoming our wonderful grandparents and special visitors as we celebrate Grandparents' Day at Resurrection School.

Grandparents play a unique and treasured role in the lives of our children. They share stories, traditions, wisdom, encouragement and unconditional love, helping to create lasting memories across generations. Did you know that spending time with grandparents has been shown to strengthen children's confidence, sense of belonging and emotional wellbeing? Grandparents often become our greatest cheerleaders, best storytellers and trusted role models.

Our celebration will begin with Mass (9:30am), followed by a morning tea (10:45am) and a special classroom activity  (11:35am) , where students will have the opportunity to spend quality time with their special guests.

If your family has grandparents or special visitors attending, your family group number will be sent home next week. Please make sure you remember your group number, as it will help everyone move smoothly between the different parts of the morning.

Behind the scenes, our Wellbeing Leaders have been working hard to prepare meaningful classroom activities to make the day extra special. Our School Choir and Band have also been busy rehearsing and are looking forward to performing during morning tea.

We know this day is one that creates wonderful memories for both our students and their loved ones, and we can't wait to celebrate together. We hope to see as many grandparents and special people as possible joining us for this very special occasion.
