Dance Team

This term the Senior Dance Team competed in the Gold Coast Eisteddfod at A.B Paterson College, where they won the well-deserved place of 1st in their section! The Eisteddfod adjudicator particularly commended the team for their technique, formations and ability to dance in unison. It was a massive accomplishment for the team. In preparation for the next performance of the year, the Junior Dance Team has worked very hard to finish learning the choreography of their routine and have had a chance to practice in their glitzy costumes. Bring on the next performance at Danc’ed in the Spotlight, next term.

Strings

What a fantastic debut for our Strings program at Stanford! Both our Senior Strings and Junior Strings performed beautifully, each receiving a Silver Award, while our Beginner Strings proudly claimed Third Place. The Seniors impressed with Burst and Winter Waltz, while our Beginners brought the house down with On Dante and Chicken on a Fence Post.

As the new Strings teacher at Tallebudgera, I couldn’t be more excited or proud. It’s been such a joy stepping into this warm and welcoming community, and seeing the students’ hard work, courage, and commitment pay off on stage was truly inspiring. After weeks of dedicated practice, they came together, conquered their nerves, and shone brightly. I’m thrilled for the journey ahead and look forward to many more moments of music-making magic with these wonderful young musicians.

Junior and Senior Choir

A big congratulations to our Junior choir earning a Silver Trophy and Senior choir earning a Silver Award at our recent Eisteddfods.  It has been a delight to hear them practising at rehearsals and come all excited to perform against other schools. Thank you parents especially for bringing them to Robina after school hours for their performance. We are now preparing for the Night of Stars in Term 4.  I hope you all have a refreshing and relaxing school holidays. See you next term.
