Language Center Final Excursion and Graduation!

Our Language Centre students had a very busy week for the end of semester. Not only did we visit Campion to get the textbooks needed in preparation for joining the mainstream classes, but we also went bowling and had our graduation. 

Our students had not been bowling before, but quickly developed their own effective style to down the pins. A big thank you to Ms Simmons who chauffeured us to Zone Bowling and Campion.

During our Graduation afternoon, the students shared their portfolios of work completed this semester with Year 8 and 9 EAL students. Thank you to Ms Walter and Ms Boyd, and their students, for assisting us in this way. The support the LC students received was wonderful.

At our Graduation ceremony, students were presented with their certificates and gifts, and our teachers wished them well. Many thanks to all who assisted with this, including Mr Noble, who helped with the presentations, Ms Greenhill for her photography, Ms Jessica for all her preparations, Ms Lawton for her support of the class, and the wonderful LC staff who spoke at the presentations. 

I want to thank all the staff who have worked with our LC students this semester: Ms Carroll, Ms Hansen, Mr Chen, Ms Leen, Ms Doorley, Mr Witwicki, Ms Walter, Ms Bolton. 

The students have been lucky to have you all.
