100 Days of School
Congratulations to our Year Prep children who celebrated their first 100 days of school today and came to school dressed as 'all things' 100.
And what better way to celebrate than enjoying a 100s and 1000s sandwich?
Congratulations on a great milestone! Only 1227 days to go until their Year 6 Graduation (give or take a day or two).
Western Metropolitan Finals
This Friday our Mixed Netball Team will compete in the Western Metropolitan Finals at the Geelong Sports Hub.
They will play seven games throughout the day and I'm sure competition will be tough.
We wish the team all the very best and trust they will represent themselves and our school with pride. Go CCK!
CCTV Security Cameras
Corpus Christi School has an obligation to ensure our environment is safe and secure, and fulfil our duty of care to all persons, students, staff and visitors. As such, please be advised that closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras are currently being installed in and around the school. The CCTV security system will assist Corpus Christi School to fulfil our obligations and to prevent and manage other inappropriate behaviour on the premises. CCTV also provides enhanced capability to protect the premises against vandalism and theft.
For your reference, I have attached the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) CCTV Policy for MACS schools below.
This Policy seeks to ensure best practice regarding the installation and use of closed circuit television (CCTV), along with the storage and disclosure of CCTV footage. The Policy and procedures seek to enhance the security of property owned and operated by Melbourne Catholic Archdiocese Schools Ltd (MACS) and its Schools (collectively MACS Premises) and provide safe environments for all staff, students and visitors.
The Policy also contains a Privacy Notice outlining how the CCTV system will be used, including the use and disclosure of any footage produced by the CCTV system, to be consistent with Victorian law.
Positive Behavior
There are still a number of families yet to read and sign the Parent-Guardian Code of Conduct recently sent out through Operoo.
You would have received automatic reminders so we ask that you promptly attend to this.
Corpus Christi School is committed to ensuring a respectful learning environment that is safe, positive and supportive for all students, staff and visitors of the School.
