Planning Guide

Hi,
As you may have seen in recent news, global investment in AI data centres has created a significant supply shortage of memory and SSD products.
This shortage is driving substantial price increases across the industry. Lenovo’s latest price list shows increase of approximately $60 on most 12" products and up to $200 on 13"+ models. HP, Microsoft and Asus are expected to follow with similar adjustments over the next month. We assume Apple may need to follow but they do not provide prior warnings of price adjustments.
Current forecasts indicate these shortages will persist for at least six months and likely throughout 2026. We’re committed to staying ahead of supply challenges and supporting you through what is shaping up to be a difficult year for IT procurement.
The good news: We currently have strong stock levels on key units, particularly Lenovo, at today’s pricing allowing us to hold most portal pricing for our customers through the peak education period until the end of January 2026 to allow parents to buy before school starts. We will have to revert to higher pricing if we do run short on a particular product.
We understand price increases are challenging, especially for your parent communities. We recommend encouraging parents who haven’t ordered yet to at least place an order with a $100 deposit to lock in current pricing.
We’ll continue working closely with suppliers throughout the year to find the most cost-effective options for next year.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
