Welcoming Vanessa into the role of Careers Support Officer

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of our ES Staff member, Vanessa, as the Careers Support Officer at LESC. In this role, Vanessa will be working closely with our Careers Coordinator, Lesley Falk, to support students in exploring and pursuing their career pathways. 

This will include coordinating work experience opportunities for students over the age of 16, assisting with the development of resumes and cover letters, and helping students engage with employers as they take the next steps towards achieving their career goals. This support extends to all students from all year levels.

A major focus of this role will be building and strengthening partnerships with local businesses and industry groups. These connections provide valuable opportunities for our students to gain real-world experience, develop employability skills, and make meaningful links between their studies and future careers. By working closely with local employers and training providers, the Careers Support Officer will help open doors for students as they take their next steps beyond school.

This is an exciting development for LESC, expanding the support available to all students as they plan and prepare for their futures.
