LESC Sports Update

Upcoming Events in Term 4
This term at LESC, students can look forward to an action-packed and enriching experience in both PE and Health.
We’re thrilled to announce that three of our talented students Cooper Rogerson, Alexis Smart, and Jackson Cheesley will be representing LESC at the State Athletics Championships at Albert Park on Monday, 20th October. A huge congratulations to them on this outstanding achievement! We wish them every success as they compete to be among the best in the state.
In addition to this, we’ll be launching a lunchtime 3v3 Ultimate Frisbee tournament, starting next Wednesday (15/10/2025). The tournament will run across four consecutive Wednesday lunchtimes, culminating in the crowning of our champion team. It’s a great opportunity for students to stay active, work as a team, and enjoy some friendly competition.
Meanwhile, in Health, our focus this term is on a topic of growing importance—Mental Health. With mental wellbeing becoming an increasingly significant issue worldwide, we are committed to equipping our students with the knowledge and tools to support both themselves and those around them. Through open discussions and engaging activities, we aim to foster a positive and proactive approach to mental health.
It’s shaping up to be a term full of growth, energy, and meaningful learning!
Local Primary School Volleyball Tournament
Today, LESC had the privilege of hosting the Primary School Volleyball Championships. Our local primary schools began the day with an engaging volleyball clinic led by Mr. Baker. Throughout the tournament, students demonstrated outstanding attitude and respect, making it a true pleasure for the LESC staff to host this event.
Each team played impressively, showing significant improvement as the day progressed. In both the Mixed and Girls Volleyball competitions, Lakes Entrance Primary School emerged as champions and will advance to the next round later this term.
We would also like to extend honourable mentions to St. Brendan’s, Toorloo Arm, and TUBBS for their dedication and sportsmanship throughout the day.
LESC looks forward to welcoming everyone back for next year’s tournament.
