Fiji Day

Today marks the 55th Anniversary for Fiji Independence Day. The day is celebrated annually on October 10th to mark its independence from the United Kingdom, in 1970. Students across the school have engaged in learning activities and created content on Fiji and Fiji Day and displayed this in front of the library.

Thank you to our Fijian teachers, Ms Imrana Bi, Ms Kiran Lata, Ms Devina Chand and Mr Immanuel Sami for sharing your culture with us. We are so lucky to have you as part of our school community.

To continue the celebration, Lakes Entrance Secondary College Students will have the opportunity to create and send Christmas cards to students at school in Fiji. More information on this cultural connection to come.
