I would like to thank all the families who joined us to celebrate the 130th anniversary of our Parish last Sunday. As a part of the Mass, the children stood on the Sanctuary and sang our school song - which has received accolades from the parishioners and visitors to our church for this special event. Thank you to all of our children who performed so beautifully!
I would also like to thank Bernadette (our Religious Education Leader) who prepared the Mass and Maria Ang (one of our parishioners) who set-up a wonderful historical display in the multi-purpose room. It really was a great morning that many parishioners, past and present, and school families attended.
Below is a sample of some of the historical photographs of school classes that were shared on Sunday - St Joseph's Primary School, late 1890s-early 1900s.

SOCKTOBER
In recognition of 'World Mission Month', Bernadette Harney has organised a whole school activity to support the global work of the Church to support children in communities in need around the world.
On Wednesday, October 25 children may wear 'BRIGHT SOCKS' to school, and we are asking for a gold coin donation - the coins will be placed inside the outline of a large sock, that will be drawn on our basketball court - we hope to fill our sock!
November 17 the Bush Band - 'Bushwazee' will be working with the children teaching them a good old fashioned heel and toe bush dance, which they will then perform for families at an evening Bush Picnic in the school yard.
This year we will host an evening of 'Christmas Carolling' on Thursday December 07.
Weather permitting - this will be in the school-yard commencing at 6:30pm. In Performing Arts classes, Sarah has begun to work with each class on their performance.
Again - please 'diarise' the date!
