Congratulations to Jarrad Vandenberg (Year 9) for his phenomenal performance in the Under 16 age group 400 metres event at the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships in Perth on Saturday December 9.

Jarrad qualified for Nationals as the 2nd fastest from Victoria, then produced an incredible personal best time of 49.84 seconds in the national final to finish 2nd in Australia! 

Even more amazing is that he is still relatively new to this event, after focusing previously on the 100 and 200 metres sprints.

We look forward to watching his progress. Well done Jarrad!
