Welcoming Our New Librarian 

Hi there! Let me introduce myself. I am Miss Lehman.

I am the new Library Manager at Lara Secondary College.

My experiences are varied, and I have worked at many School Libraries for the last 30 Years, and I am happy and excited to start this new chapter at Lara. I am easy going and really enjoy doing displays and celebrating fun events. Oh, and I love books.  I am looking forward to making the library a fun vibrant place for learning, and for the students to 

 “Realise their Potential”

So come on in and introduce yourselves so I get to know who you are.

I have one passion in life I am happy to share; I support the Geelong Football Club, it’s my true passion and I am open to footy banter. Bring it on!

Spine Crackers Book Club

Anyone interested in joining please come to the library and sign up. We will start some new adventures and look at new books in the next few weeks. You may get to choose some.

2025 Book Week

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for activities and fun things to do to celebrate Children’s Book week. The theme this year is 

“BOOK AN ADVENTURE”

So, stay alert and look out for activities in the library, keeping this theme in mind. We will travel the continents on an adventure, and there will be great prizes to win so come and be a part of the celebrations.

Requesting books for the Library 

Do you have a book you’d like to read?  Come into the library to see if we have it.  If we don’t, let us know and we can investigate buying the book.  If the book is available on SORA it can be in our ebook library within 24 hours.  This book can be read via the SORA app.
