Wellbeing Update

Thrive Program

The THRIVE Program is a supportive, early intervention group designed for young people. It focuses on building essential life skills and emotional wellbeing through engaging, hands-on activities in a safe and positive environment.

THRIVE helps young people to:

  • Have a positive and meaningful experience with support services
  • Build healthy social connections and a sense of belonging
  • Learn about mental health in an age-appropriate and approachable way
  • Strengthen problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Explore self-care techniques to support emotional wellbeing
  • Understand when and how to seek help when they need it

THRIVE is about helping young people grow, connect, and develop skills that support them now and in the future.

Shake Workshop

The Shake Workshop offers teens to develop essential life skills and enhance their personal and emotional development. Our workshops cover topics such as:

·       Emotional regulation and stress management

·       Communication and conflict resolution

·       Self-esteem and body image

·       Goal-setting and decision-making

·       Healthy relationships and boundaries

Through engaging activities, discussions, and skill-building exercises, the workshop provide teens with practical tools and strategies they can apply in their daily lives.

By participating in these workshops, teens can gain a deeper understanding of themselves, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to navigate the challenges of adolescence and beyond.

Bunji Program Update

Last week we kicked off a new Bunji Program (social & emotional learning program) with selected Year 7 and 8 students.

We spent time getting to know each other and began exploring the “Zones of Regulation” and strategies to support emotional regulation.

A standout moment came when a student shared an ocean analogy for the Blue Zone—explaining how, like water, it has layers: light and shallow at first, then darker and deeper. It was incredibly insightful, and one we’ll carry forward in future sessions.

It was a powerful reminder that our space is for everyone to learn and grow. Students regulated through colouring, drawing, grounding, and open conversations. We're excited to see where next week’s Bunji takes us.
