Senior School Update 

As we reach the end of another busy and rewarding term, I would like to take the opportunity to reflect on some of the highlights that have made Term 3 such a successful and memorable period for our Senior School community.

One of the most exciting developments has been the recent selection of our 2027 School Captains. I’m excited to introduce our leadership team, consisting of:

• Cedric Pang - Captain of Anglican Identity
• Peter Everingham - Captain of Community Service
• Lucas Denny - Captain of Stewardship
• Bosco Su – Captain of Student Engagement.

I congratulate these students who nominated themselves for leadership positions and commend them for their courage and willingness to serve their school community. We look forward to formally introducing our 2027 leaders and their respective portfolio responsibilities at Presentation Day to close out the year.

Earlier this week, Bosco Su, Charli Blackie and Chase Bouchier had the honour of representing our school at the Blessing of the Site Ceremony for Ascension Anglican School in Ballarat. The trio performed magnificently throughout the event and were outstanding ambassadors for our school. Thanks to Mr Willett and Mrs Chmiel for their attendance with our students.

I would also like to sincerely thank all parents and carers who attended our recent Parent Teacher Interviews. These conversations are a vital part of the partnership between home and school, providing valuable opportunities to celebrate successes, identify goals, address challenges, and support student growth. Strong take up for these interviews demonstrated the importance our families place on their children's education, and we greatly appreciate your ongoing support.

In Week 8, students enjoyed a fantastic day competing at the Year 7-10 Buroinjin Competition. It was pleasing to see students displaying outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the event. A special congratulations goes to Neve Macheda and Abel Stilo, who were both recognised as the Year 7/8 Division 3 MVPs. This team enjoyed an excellent tournament and ultimately progressed all the way to the grand final, a tremendous achievement in a tough competition.

As Term 3 concludes, our thoughts increasingly turn towards our Year 12 students, who are entering the final weeks of their formal schooling. This is an exciting and often emotional period as they prepare to complete classes and begin the final stage of their VCE journey. I encourage our Year 12 students to remain focused, maintain healthy routines, and continue to seek support whenever it is needed. Put in the hard work now, and we look forward to celebrating your achievements in the weeks ahead.

R U OK Day

Thanks to Year 12 students and School Captains Miley Driscoll and Olivia Thompson for helping put together this short video to promote awareness of R U OK Day which was recognised last week. As a school community, it's important we continue to look out for each other and be kind to those around us.

VCE VM Raffle 

Win a one-of-a-kind dog house and support a great cause!

Our Year 12 VCE VM students have been busy putting their building skills to work in our Trade Centre, constructing this fantastic dog house as part of their major project focusing on animal welfare and the importance of pet rescue.

Tickets can be purchased from the school office: $2 each or 3 for $5 (cash only).

This raffle will be drawn on 13 October 2026.

A massive thanks to Cobram Mitre 10 and Bunnings Yarrawonga for donating the materials that enabled our students to construct this magnificent raffle prize!
