PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
MRS MICHELLE HAEUSLER - PRINCIPAL

This week we welcomed the arrival of spring with several beautiful days of sunshine. Spring is a season that naturally lifts our spirits as we witness flowers beginning to bloom and new life emerging throughout nature. As we commence the Church's Season of Creation, spring also serves as a reminder of the wonder of God's creation and the many blessings that surround us each day.
As we move steadily towards the end of the term, my interviews with prospective Year 7 students for 2027 are nearly complete. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting with families and learning more about each young person. It has been a privilege to hear parents speak proudly about their children and to watch students gradually overcome their nervousness as they share their interests, strengths, and aspirations. We currently have 107 students enrolled for Year 7 in 2027, and there are still places available for families interested in joining our wonderful school community.
Next week, we will hold a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony at the Penola Campus. I would like to thank Mrs Nella Sharp, Head of Campus, for her organisation of this important event and the Wamba Wemba Aboriginal Corporation for leading the ceremony. All Indigenous students have been invited to attend. Parents and carers of Indigenous students who would like to be present should contact the College on 5032 9771 and ask to speak with Nella Sharp, Head of Campus, for further information.
Thank you to the parents who have expressed interest in participating in the School Advisory Council in 2027. I greatly appreciate the willingness of community members to contribute their time, perspectives, and support to the ongoing development of our College. If you would like to learn more about becoming involved and have not yet registered your interest, please contact Ms Emma Webb on 5032 9771 or via email at ewebb@mackillopsh.vic.edu.au.
