Community Cook-Off
Easing the Load by Filling Bellies
Last Friday MECS held a Community Cook-off in the school Food Tech room. If you happened to walk in the vicinity of the Food Tech room you would have been greeted with a smell of curries, bolognaise and soups as they wafted across the school grounds. The MECS cook-offs are a brilliant way for us to help serve others in our community when in need, so if you are moving house, having a new baby, death in the family, sickness etc... these meals are here to benefit you!
Amy Van der Veen was head chef and has run many cook-offs in our community which has blessed so many here at MECS. We had a number of parents and grandparents come to help along with some Year 7 students. It is such a wonderful way to bless others around us so if you are interested in helping next time, please contact robyn.turner@mecs.vic.edu.au.
If you know of a family in our community that would benefit, please let Robyn know.
