Music Soiree
Our recent School Soirée was a wonderful celebration of student talent, creativity, and confidence. Students proudly showcased their musical skills through a variety of performances, entertaining family members, friends, and staff. The evening was filled with enthusiasm, applause, and a strong sense of community as students demonstrated the results of their hard work and dedication. It was fantastic to see so many students participating and enjoying the opportunity to perform in a supportive environment. Thank you to all families and staff who attended and helped make the event such a successful, fun, and memorable occasion.
Berthe Mouchette French Poetry Competition Finalists
Congratulations to Neg (Grade 3), Hugo E (Grade 5) and Juliet (Grade 4) on reaching the finals of the Berthe Mouchette French Poetry Competition. This year’s competition was especially challenging, with only a small number of students selected as finalists. Reaching the finals is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication and commitment to learning French. Félicitations to all three students on this outstanding accomplishment!
Principal's of the Day
Our Principal's of the Day last week were Nikita and Aisha 6A and Holly 6C and Ni'Emat 6A. Their day began by making their Principal badge. The girls then visited each class in the school with clipboad in hand and a plentiful supply of stickers to reward students displaying our school values of responsibility, friendship, respect, kindness and honesty.
The girls helped Miss D with errands including assisitng with assembly preparations. They also enjoyed a hot milo made by Ms D and biscuits, always a highlight!
Paint and Sip
Our Paint and Sip session was a huge success! Participants were provided with a blank canvas, a palette of colourful paints, a glass of champagne, and expert guidance from Fiona Tweedie of The Happi Project. Fiona also runs our popular after-school art program.
With Fiona's excellent tuition, many impressive masterpieces were created. A big thank you to Sophie McQueen and our wonderful parent community for bringing the event to life. Our next Paint and Sip session will be held on Thursday, 21 August, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Tickets are available on Qkr! All proceeds go towards the purchase of a new kiln.
