YEAR 7-8 SCHOOL NEWS

Year 7 STEM
Year 8 Outdoor Education
On Thursday 11th June, Mr Parker’s Year 8 Outdoor Education students participated in an introductory fishing session at Cunningham Pier, where they were introduced to the fundamentals of recreational fishing in a real-world outdoor environment. The excursion provided students with the opportunity to develop practical skills including baiting hooks, casting techniques, knot tying, and understanding safe and responsible fishing practices.
Students should be commended for the way they represented the school throughout the day, demonstrating excellent behaviour, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn new skills. It was particularly pleasing to see students supporting one another, showing patience, and embracing the experience with such positive attitudes.
The session was a fantastic introduction to outdoor recreation activities, and all students should be congratulated on the maturity and effort they displayed throughout the excursion.
Thanks,
Mr Parker
