Fijian Ministry Visit
Term 1 Week 11
Last Tuesday, both Primary and Secondary Schools were blessed with a visit from a ministry group all the way from Fiji!
The group captivated Primary School with their high-energy dances, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of their homeland. The students and staff were enthralled by their rhythmic movements and infectious enthusiasm of the performers.
In addition to the mesmerising dances, the group shared an inspiring story about John Wesley, a famous preacher. They recounted how Wesley was saved from a tragic fire when he was very young, attributing his survival to God's saving grace. This powerful tale highlighted how Wesley felt God's presence and protection throughout his life.
Secondary School heard from Gina, who shared her amazing, uplifting and emotional testimony of how her faith moved her from feeling worthless and hopeless, to where she is now, a successful government official and leading a joyful, spirit-filled life as a child of God - wholly and dearly loved.
The theme was “His Love is My Anchor”, and we enjoyed dancing, singing and stories. Our own Fijian community of students were so enthusiastic and loved that they could see their own culture in action, and see it being enjoyed and valued by their peers.
The visit was a wonderful experience for everyone, leaving us with a deeper appreciation for Fijian culture. We are grateful for the opportunity to witness such a dynamic performance and hear such an uplifting story.
