Assembly

Last week we held our first Friday morning fortnightly assembly. The feedback from families, staff, and students has been overwhelmingly positive, many shared that this new time feels calmer and better suited to the school day. We welcome ongoing feedback from families. Please email or speak with a member of the leadership team to share your thoughts on this change.

Camps and Excursions

Camps and excursions play an important role in building student independence, resilience, and confidence. These experiences provide valuable learning opportunities beyond the classroom, encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and connection with the natural world. At Keelonith Primary School, such experiences are an integral part of our educational program from Prep through to Year 6.

Premiers’ Reading Challenge

This year, 262 students signed up for the Premiers’ Reading Challenge, and 39 students successfully completed it. Certificates have been presented to these students in their classrooms. Congratulations to all who participated and embraced a love of reading.

Staffing

Today we say goodbye to Bree in the office she is taking up a job at Greenvale Secondary School in HR and as the Personal Assistant to the Principal. We wish Bree all the best and thank her for her work at KPS.

In the next newsletter we will update you on staffing fand the school structure for 2026. The Expression of Interest for the Acting Principal Semester 1 2026 closes on the 7th of November. We will keep you informed once a decision has been made.
