Creating Futures Together

Instrumental Soirees

On Monday the 12th of May, the Music Learning Area hosted the Keyboard and Vocal Soirée in D01 after school. It was an amazing showcase of emerging talent, along with the continued growth and improvement of our senior students.

The Brass and Woodwind Soiree was held on Tuesday May 13th. It was great to see students stepping out of their comfort zone to perform to a supportive audience of friends and family.

On Wednesday May 14th we held the Percussion, Guitar and Bass Guitar Soiree. The audience was treated to a diverse range of musical styles from our students, ranging from soloists to larger ensembles, with all year levels represented. This was also the VERY first performance from our school’s new Rock Ensemble, directed by Damien Ryles.

It was fantastic to see a high number of families coming to support students at the Soirees this year!

Choir Incursion

We held the Choir Incursion on Monday the 19th of May, in preparation for the Victorian School Music Festival taking place in August. Students began learning songs in three part harmony, and worked on improving their articulation and dynamics.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our music students.

Winter Concert

Please mark Monday July 28th in your Calendars, as this is the date of our Winter Concert. This is one of our major Music events for the year, and involves all our school ensembles. The Concert will be held in the Bunjil Centre, starting at 7pm, and tickets will be on sale prior to the Term 2 holidays.  Further details will be provided before the end of Term.
