Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and Friends of Nazareth

As we enter the season of Spring, we are reminded that our Year 12 students only have 6 weeks of formal schooling left before exams or work outside of school.

We are really keen to ensure that our students continue making the most of their opportunities.

Like all good sports people, you must be at your best before you compete.  You usually increase your training and preparation to be at your best.  Equally, we hope that our students are increasing their study regime, revising and completing past exams in preparation for their final exams or if they are entering the workforce, to be ready to fully commit to the opportunities that present themselves.

I urge students, especially those with part time jobs that exceed 20 hours a week to consider whether this may affect their prep time and exam performance.  If it does, you may wish to apply for leave.  Most employers are very understanding and would be supportive of your request.

In the coming week, we celebrate Nazareth Day festivities.  We will commence next Monday with Mass and the opening of the time capsule.  Any member of our community is most welcome to attend on Monday 8 September.  Mass will commence at 11.30am.  Please make your way directly into the auditorium after signing in at the front office.

On Thursday 11 September, our students and staff will attend the Nazareth Day Assembly at school, followed by our visit to Luna Park. This is a compulsory school day and all staff and students are looking forward to the celebration.

Finally, the new Student Hub building is progressing well. Since my last notification, a remarkable amount of work has been done.  The photos will give you a good sense of the space and progress thus far.

God Bless

Mr Sam Cosentino
