Year 1/2 Sports Day

Our Year 1/2 Sports Day was an absolute hit on Friday, November 28th! The students had so much fun moving through the different activities, cheering each other on and giving every event their very best effort. It was fantastic to see so many happy, confident participants having a go and enjoying the day.

A number of students received ribbons for their achievements in the running races, long jump and this year’s throwing events—vortex and foam javelin. We are so proud of the determination and enthusiasm shown by all.

A special mention goes to our Grade 5/6 house captains and helpers, who were absolutely amazing on the day. They showed outstanding responsibility, leadership and encouragement, helping our younger students feel confident and supported at every station.

Everyone looked amazing in their house colours, and the atmosphere throughout the day was electric. Thank you to all staff and students for helping make it such a memorable event!

5/6 Volleyball Gala Day – South Melbourne Beach

Our Grade 5/6 students enjoyed a fantastic day at the Volleyball Gala Day held at South Melbourne Beach. The weather was perfect, the energy was high, and the level of sportsmanship on display was outstanding.

All five of our teams played extremely well, demonstrating skill, teamwork and resilience throughout the day. A special mention to our ten captains, who led with confidence, positivity and pride! 😊

Students shared some highlights from the day:

  • Ren G.: “Really good!”
  • Otis: “I had so much fun. I felt very accomplished having been selected as a captain.”
  • Anastasia: “Being at the beach was very fun. I enjoyed the opportunity to captain my team at our last CPS gala day.”
  • Maeve: “I would rate it one trillion out of ten!”
  • Charlize: “It was so good!”
  • Saran: “It was so fun trying out a different gala, and I loved the sand!”

Well done to all students, staff and supporters involved in making the day such a success!
