Kindergarten in Burnie

Welcome to Kinder 2026!

This school year will be filled with FUN, LOADS of discovery, LOTS of learning, and new adventures! There are many “firsts” that happen in Kinder, and we are thrilled to be a part of them.

Over the first few weeks, we worked hard to set up a warm, safe and kind classroom environment. Inside the classroom, we have been learning routines and having a lot of fun. In Christian Living, we have been studying the Bible and learning about some important people in this amazing book, including God, Jesus, Mary and Joseph. We have been discovering how to talk to God about anything and everything, through prayer!

We have already played some fun games with Mr Cowen, the PE teacher, enjoyed singing along with Ms Haberle in Music, and visited the Library to borrow books. We have had some visits from our Buddies in Years 5/6 and have been able to show them around our classroom.

Last Wednesday was our Water Play Day! The children were thrilled to splash, slide and play in various water-themed activities. We got to enjoy more wet play on a rainy Monday and found huge puddles to jump in, and discovered that the slide is fast when it is wet!

We can’t wait for more fun Kinder adventures. We are looking forward to partnering with you and your child this school year.
