Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and Friends of Nazareth
Welcome back to Semester 2!
It’s wonderful to have our staff and students back on campus after a pleasant and restful break. Students are settling back into their normal routine. Term 3 is a time for consolidation. After their first semester, students will have learnt how to maximise their studies and time. We hope that together with their staff, each of them can continue to grow.
Our new building (Student Hub) foundation work commenced during the term break. We hope the new building will be operational this time next year.
On Monday 21 July, our staff had a professional learning day. The focus for the day was to explore the effective use of AI within schools! AI is obviously a new tool that can enhance learning, so it is extremely important for our staff to familiarise themselves with how to use AI in their teaching. Many of our Middle Leaders also spent the day with presenter Daniela Falecki (www.teacher-wellbeing.com.au), exploring their leadership styles, positive psychology and how to be more inspiring leaders.
In conclusion, I wish all our community the very best in the coming semester and invite you to please be proactive and communicate with the College if the need arises. In the coming month, our 40 year celebrations will commence with the Principal’s Dinner on 8 August , the opening of the 40 year time capsule and Nazareth Mass on 8 September and Naz Day celebrations at Luna Park on 11 September. The following term will have many opportunities to celebrate Nazareth College’s past and future existence.
God Bless
Mr Sam Cosentino
Principal
