 Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we approach the end of Term 1. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and partnership. It has been a busy and productive term, filled with lots of special events and great learning in the classrooms.

With the Easter break upon us, I wish you all a restful and safe holiday. Spend time with family and friends, or simply enjoy some quiet time at home, I hope you have the opportunity to recharge and enjoy this special time of year.

Please take care and stay safe during the holidays. We look forward to welcoming our students back on 22/4/25 for Term 2.

Please remember that the swimming program starts in Week 2. Please find important child safety swimming information below.

Wishing you a very happy Easter.

Child Safety Compliance Advice for Swimming

St Anthony's is a Child Safe School that actively promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.

In order to comply with Child Safe Standards we must take deliberate steps to ensure the care, wellbeing and protection of children and young people.

Particular attention to child safety at swimming includes:

  • At no time should any parent be alone in the change rooms with students
  • Prep parents are able to assist their child in the changerooms but will need to provide the school with a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC paperwork must be handed into the office)
  • Parents who attend swimming are not to dress any child that is not their own and should be directed to assist their own child where possible away from other students
  • Parents from other Year Levels 1-6 are not permitted in the change rooms (it is an expectation that students in these year levels dress themselves in the change rooms after swimming)
  • Students use a change room that is separate from the general public
  • Parents are permitted to watch from the viewing area at the upper level
  • No photos or videos can be taken at the swimming pool
  • If your child is not confident in dressing themselves, please take the school holidays to help practice with them
  • Snacks and drinks are not to be provided to your child at the swimming pool
