Dear Families and Friends of St Anthony's,
What a fantastic start to the year we've had. Term One has been filled with new learning, new friends and many great celebrations.
We celebrated our 70th Year, shared pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, celebrated Harmony Day, created amazing scarecrows for the Flower and Garden Show, had school leaders go swimming with the dolphins, students visited the Moonlit Sanctuary and visit the Noble Park Hall to recognise its 100th year.
Over the past week a lot of work has happened at St Anthony's. Our Library has been packed into boxes and the space is now being used for our Community Hub. The library will be moving into the Padua building near the Year 3/4 classrooms.
Our plans for the upcoming renovations are coming together nicely. The first part to commence will be the demolition of the portables and the senior playground moved to this position. The current bus shelter space will be made into a kitchen classroom and a community gathering area. The community garden will be relocated to adjoin the kitchen classroom.
The plan includes the demolition of the current middle and senior toilets and new ones will be built along the sides of the Padua and. Soli Deo buildings.
It is a big project that will take some time however we are very much looking forward to commencement of work.
